A section of tools designed to help you become more aware. Reframe your thoughts, understand your emotional processes, and enhance the way you interact with your environment.
How does Heuristic Journaling do this? Our new journal includes a library of effective step-by-step tools, built around developing awareness in three areas:

-
What is it I actually want
-
How can I make the changes I need to get there
-
How can I enjoy the process
Our exercises provide a base to awareness. It offers tools to extract and piece together information about ourselves and our surroundings. So we can start moving more towards the outcome and life we want.
Think of these exercises as cross-word puzzles for your mental and emotional wellbeing. As you go through them, more and more things will begin to make sense. We provide processes for gaining awareness and structing change for thoughts, emotions, behaviours, and concepts of self and our future. But we offer the space for you to also explore your own.
Plan
Planning
A dedicated planning section with exposure to planning methods, scheduling, goal setting, and organisation strategies. Design the rituals you need which align to your outcomes.
Planning in any form is the “how-to”, the strategy. This section provides a base of week and month plans, routine-building with day schedules, as well as day, week and month reviews.
This section guides you through your planning process. From setting goals, taking it one step further evolving into a vision, or designing a calendar purely focused on progressing in areas of life you decide as your focus.
This is not your typical planner. Our approach is focused less on the maintenance of daily life, and more on understanding what activities will actually move your life and self in the direction you want to head.
Learn
Learn
A summarised list of your most valuable external resources; lessons, practices, concepts and ideas. To use in moments of your life where they can make the biggest difference.
Consider all the inspiring ideas or helpful information from books or podcasts you’ve ever come across. How often do we come across something and think “I love that idea”, or “I should try that next time”.
The key component from this section is simple. Every bit of knowledge we come across is completely useless…unless we are able to implement it. Better us read one book with five key notes to make changes, then reading 100 books where nothing comes from the incredible insights and information we’ve just uncovered.
This area isn’t a race to write down everything you come across. It’s an awareness to know what insight, knowledge or perspective we can use to make a difference, and in what moment we need to use it. This section consolidates your best resources, in a succinct place for easy reference when you find yourself needing answers.
Rome wasn’t built in day, and the power from this process comes as you begin to develop your library. If that takes you two months or two years, you will significantly increase your development by being resourceful and intelligent with the knowledge you encounter.
If you’re impatient to develop yourself and expediate your learning, you will find this section essential. Our journal gets you started on how to build and categorise this space, and will help you identify those concepts which stand to make the biggest difference to your life.
Implement
Implement
A summary of key insights and personalised thought-development. This space allows you to connect to your most powerful perspectives. Realign your focus and commitment to your achievements.
Nearly all of the thoughts we have on a given day were the same as the day before. As a result, we maintain the same or similar frame of mind, which leads to the same or similar behaviours, which lead us to the same outcomes.
One function of Notes to Self, it’s your space to evolve the way you see things to create and condition a new way of thinking. It may be a realisation you’ve had about yourself, an answer to question that’s been limiting your progress, or a slight alteration to behave differently in a key moment, reciprocating a better response from your environment.
It's a short, sharp point of one small thing to think, be, or consider. With this, we start applying the concept of “small changes done consistently make big differences longer-term”.
What’s does this all mean? It means everything starts with a thought. And one of the primary reasons we stay stuck is because we don’t have an effective way to update our software, which meets the needs of the aspiring vision or self we’re trying to build.
Develop your clarity, speed up the evolution of your frame of mind, develop the tools to prune your mental garden.
Our Heuristic Journal will guide you through this process. The journal is filled with prompts in keys spaces that allows you to capture your insights as they arise, so don’t worry about not knowing where to start. As you make your way through our journal, you will develop your sense in what a powerful prompt looks like for you, and see firsthand the benefit connecting with these new awareness’s.
