Setting up your planning section

The next area of your journal is for planning. It's a space to organise the strategy you'll need to reach your outcome. Whether the outcome be experiencing better emotions or working towards a tangible achievement. Having a variety of planning and scheduling tools will help you build a routine towards that realisation.

What planning tools do I need?

Planning tools include calendars, schedules and methods of review. This can include:

Yearly Planners

Monthly or weekly calendars

Daily schedules

Weekly or month reviews

Goal setting templates

Depending on what you're trying to achieve will depend on the most beneficial. If you're trying to improve your emotional well-being, a daily or weekly schedule can help find space in your routine you know will help create that shift. If you're after a tangible achievement, perhaps a yearly planner with monthly reviews will work best.

Consider also how you use each tool. For example, a daily schedule can be used retrospectively - how much time you're spending on activities in your week that are helping you move forward in a meaningful way.
