Setting up your discovery section
The first area of your journal is for self-discovery. It's a space to use exercises and templates to uncover thoughts, emotions, perspectives, beliefs and influences on decision making. It's uses self-help style exercises to extract patterns of how you see yourself, or generally interact with the world, through a guided process.
Where can I find these exercises?

You can find these exercises online through a simple online search or in self-help books. If you want to get started immediately, you can use an AI provider to generate some exercises for you.

Self-help books often provide a more specific template for what you're trying to uncover. AI is likely to provide ideas for a general approach, which is helpful if you're looking to get started immediately. Likewise for searching the internet using a search engine.

Whichever way you pursue, consider what it is you'll find most helpful. Even a pros/cons list is a simple exercise to help with decision making. However in your search get specific, e.g., overcoming limiting thoughts, pin pointing and shifting emotions, creating habits, figuring out what I want, overcoming fears, etc.

There's endless prompts and exercises to help find clarity in just about any aspect of life. Get specific about what you're trying to understand, then look for resources and prompts for that area.
